The Wyatt Trust (Wyatt) is putting a call out to public schools and youth or family services to apply for one-off project funds through the Lions of Richmond Youth Education Fund. Programs are to be run in the Local Government Areas of West Torrens, Marion and Charles Sturt.
This fund, focusing on supporting and celebrating education, is the direct work of the Lions Club of Richmond volunteers who run the popular local op shop warehouse in Camden Park. The Lions Club of Richmond sow profits from the op shop back into their local community.
The depth and diversity of the projects supported through the fund since it launched in 2017 demonstrate how a small injection of funding can lead to great opportunities for children and young people experiencing financial disadvantage.
Applications can be made by public schools or organisations (including preschools, primary and secondary schools, flexible learning programs and youth or family services) supporting children and young people experiencing financial disadvantage, specifically through the public education system in South Australia.
Funds of between $1,500 and $5,000 are available per project.
We know there are great ideas out there . Initial intake of ideas is due Friday August 21 2020.
