Wyatt’s External Thought Leaders

May 2012

As Wyatt continues to grow and develop as a leading philanthropic foundation in Australia, there is a continual effort to ensure our grant making is effective, and informed.

Wyatt focuses its grant making in 4 areas – employment outcomes, education retention and re-engagement, financial wellbeing and affordable housing. To enhance best practice in these areas, the Wyatt’s Board of Governors and staff have identified and connected with a range experts from various sectors to further inform and develop our work. These relationships are vital as Wyatt strives to better the lives of South Australians in poor or reduced circumstances.

In addition, Wyatt prides itself upon its leadership in the local philanthropic sector and wishes to promote learning and understanding about the context in which philanthropy operates to others in the sector.

It is anticipated that Wyatt’s External Thought Leaders will interact with staff to discuss aspects of their experience and share their specialist knowledge where it aligns with Wyatt’s mission. This initiative will aim to increase Wyatt’s effectiveness as an informed and strategic grant maker as it seeks to offer opportunities for South Australian individuals and families to lead satisfying and productive lives and participate more actively in the community.
