Inparrila

08 Apr 2022

The 7th April 2022 marked a special day in Wyatt’s calendar, the official launch of our new office space, Inparrila. The Kaurna word for ‘meeting place’, Inparrila is more than just a home for Wyatt, it is a place where values aligned organisations work, gather and create.

We were honoured to have Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia join us on the morning. She reflected on her career and how, ‘collaboration, innovation and listening to diverse view-points not only brought people closer together, but ultimately produced better outcomes for all.’

This was the underlying theme of the morning and Her Excellency further noted, ‘Inparrila is a meeting place, and a place where I think we have much to learn from the first Australians. This hub brings together people and organisations who share a common goal, common values and a common vision to build stronger communities.’

Inparrila is currently home to six values aligned organisations (Wyatt, Foundation SA, Philanthropy Australia, Creative Partnerships Australia, Australian Schools Plus and Australian Sports Foundation) with more to come, as well as being used by community for meetings and events.

Wyatt has been thrilled to bring the vision of Inparrila to life, with Chair Anne McCutcheon on the morning reiterating our commitment to strengthening a vibrant and thriving sector.

While covid impacted the scale of our launch event, we were so pleased to have Inparrila officially opened. We look forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues to Inparrila in the coming months.
